BENJAMIN
​MASON

​Born and raised in Victoria, Benjamin Mason is a West Australian artist who currently lives in Bunbury. He writes fiction, poetry, performs spoken word, and dabbles in acting, editing and script writing.
 
He founded the Bunbury Writing Group and hosts quarterly spoken word nights. He has been published in magazines and journals, including Grok and Swinposium. His work has been listed and won awards in national fiction competitions, including The Margaret River Short Story Competition and The Katherine Susannah Pritchard Prize for Short Fiction. He has been the joint winner of The Bunbury Fringe 'Writing for Performance' Prize for his spoken word poem, ‘The Meaning of Work’.
 
He has taught Creative Writing and Poetry in secondary schools, including ATAR courses. Ben sings with local sea shanty group, The Anchormen.
